5 Best Practices for Wellness in your Daily Routine

Oct 18, 2023

With people prioritising self-care and a healthy lifestyle. Wellness is becoming a part of daily routine. A beautiful balance of healthy habits can surely help you towards a positive mindset and reflect wellness.

Here are 5 best practices for Wellness in your daily routine

1. Healthy Food | Healthy Diet

Food is a great way to practice healthy wellness. Incorporating nutrient-rich foods, including fruits, green vegetables, whole grains, more proteins, and healthy fats can create a huge difference. If you love snacks try finding substitutes such as low sugar / low carb chocolates, organic chips, etc.Stay hydrated by drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day.

Your eating habits believe it or not has a really big influence on your physical and mental health. So instead of being hard on yourself by dieting or restricting yourself from unhealthy food, start eating healthy but in a balanced way. Ice cream on friday night is totally worth it if you are eating a good meal for 5 days.

2. Stay Active

A part of wellness is looking after your body. Staying fit and being regularly active helps you become strong, have a good immune system and less likely to fall ill. Incorporate some kind of exercises (e.g., walking, running, cycling) and strength training exercises into your routine.

Find physical activities you enjoy to make exercise a sustainable part of your life. Many people enjoy yoga, some like pilates, some love group workouts and some prefer working out from home. Choose your method but try to dedicate a regular exercise habit.

3. Prioritise Mental Wellbeing

It’s all about priorities. Practice mindfulness, meditation, or deep breathing exercises to manage stress and improve mental clarity. Allocate time for self-care and relaxation activities that bring you joy and relaxation.Seek support from friends, family, or a fitness coach like me to help you in this journey.

4. Adequate Sleep | Rest

Sleep is equally important for a healthy lifestyle. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night by maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. Create a comfortable sleep environment by keeping your bedroom dark, quiet, and cool. Avoid screens and stimulating activities before bedtime to improve sleep quality. If it helps, try green tea, chamomile tea before bedtime or reading a book to unwind your day on a positive note.

5. Self-care

Remember it is for YOU and your healthy lifestyle for a long term goal. Self-care is taking out time just for yourself and something that makes you happy . Establish a daily routine that includes regular mealtimes, exercise sessions, and moments for self-reflection or gratitude. Stay organised and manage your time effectively to reduce stress and increase productivity. Set achievable wellness goals and track your progress to stay motivated. Self-care is a new trend which can be from lighting your favourite candle, bedtime shower, morning workout, afternoon nap, daily cup of tea, etc.
